The Summer Reading Program is now underway, and children can register and pick up reading record sheets until June 30. Get ready to dig into summer fun! This year’s theme invites young explorers to dig, discover, and unearth amazing stories—just like real archaeologists and paleontologists! The 2026 Summer Reading Program, “Unearth a Story,” is open to readers 4 to 12 years of age. Pre-readers are invited to join the program with a parent or other helper who will read to them. The Summer Program encourages reading for pleasure in a non-academic setting. Summer reading can help children maintain valuable reading skills during the vacation period. The children will have from June 3 to August 8, 2026, to complete their summer reading goal.
